The Fisker Karma was a failed electric luxury sedan, but it looked phenomenal. The Tesla Model S is as good as an electric car can get right now in every conceivable way. But in my opinion, it looks a little boring, a little to conservative to be the most advanced car ever. So...why couldn't we have the Model S in the lovely, shapely body of the Karma.
Think how perfect that would be.

The karma is hideous, there I said it. . .

I like Lutz's idea of a V8 better.

While we are on the subject of unpopular opinions, the Alfa 4C is also hideous.

The Chinese dude who bought them has the same idea.

The Fisker would probably be better compared to the Chevy Volt rather than the Tesla....and also....Maximum Bob has expressed his interest in the Karma body.

I agree with this one too. It is just all wrong. It isn't even the lights.

Yeah, but he just wants to stick Corvette engines in them. Great, but not futuristic.

I'm actually very okay with that idea.

It would make for a great car, but it does nothing to stop the Tesla's segment monopoly.
Although if it sounded good, who cares?

I know, right? It just looks overly swoopy and bloated. The mass opinion on italian cars that they are all instantly beautiful and that there goes so much "passion" in them has buggered me for a while now. What is so passionate about a badly built, unreliable car? Isn't that the exact opposite of "passionate"? Shouldn't "passion" imply that the manufacturer really cares about how the car is being made and that engineering perfection is the highest goal? Doesn't that make a Lexus more "passionate" than an Alfa?

I agree completely. I always thought they looked rather sexy until I saw one driving down the road. There is a reason you don't see many pictures of this car full-on from the side. It looks massively long and has one too many swoops/humps. 3/4 shots are very nice in my opinion.

Don't know why you think Tesla has a monopoly, there are lots of electric cars out now. Just none as cool looking.

I meant a figurative monopoly. Not a lot of people cross-shop a Model S with a Leaf. If you want an electric luxury Sedan, your choices are a Model S or nothing that I can think of.

I second this opinion. The Model S might not be "in your face" with its looks, but it still looks pretty.

I'd say they have the monopoly on the upper level of the electric car market. Teslas are pretty much the only electric cars with class, the only one you can own without being a super greenie or a little embarrassed when telling people what you drive

That's really just a function of marketing, if you think about it.
